Practicing as a Pharmacist
For a person to be able to practice as a pharmacist in Malta, first he/she needs to have his/her qualification recognised by the Pharmacy Council and then have his/her name entered in the Register of Pharmacists held by the Pharmacy Council. Subsequently the Pharmacy Council recommends the applicant for the issue of a licence to practice as a pharmacist in Malta. Application and documents required are found below:
- Application for Registration as a Pharmacist with an EU qualification
- Application for Registration as a Pharmacist with a third country qualification
- Documents to be submitted for registration from applicants with an EU qualification
- Documents to be submitted for registration from applicants with a non-EU pharmacy qualification
- Eligibility for a licence to practice as pharmacist
- Declaration for temporary mobility
Practicing as a Pharmacist

Appealing from a decision related to an Application for Registration
If you are in disagreement with the decision taken by the special licensing committee regarding your application, you have a right to appeal in accordance to Health Care Professions Act 2003, Cap 464. You may file an appeal in writing with the Appeals Committee within 20 calendar days from the date of the decision.
